Encino offers a unique and varied layout that provides a test for the long hitter. Encino Golf Course also has a number of challenging 3 pars. Encino was designed by William P. Bell & Sons and opened in 1957. Encino Municipal Golf Course is the second golf course to be built as part of the 36-hole Sepulveda Dam Recreation Area complex, along with Balboa Municipal Golf Course which opened in 1954. |

Local Rules
- Out of Bounds - Defined by white stakes on right side of holes #8, 9 , left side of holes #3, 5, back of greens on holes #5, 8, 9, 15, 18 and perimeter fence on #4, 16, 17, 18.
- Immovable Obstructions - If in bounds, paved cart paths, dirt
service roads, cement drainage ditches, staked trees (their
basins and support wires) that interfere with stance or swing,
drop within one club length of point of nearest relief (cement
drainage ditch - start at point ball entered) no nearer hole.
NO PENALTY. - Ball on wrong green, wrong tee MUST be dropped within one
club length of point of nearest relief, no nearer hole.
NO PENALTY. - Only stones in bunkers are moveable obstructions.
NO PENALTY.
